Chloe Towns
Hello!
My name is Chloe and I am a clinical psychology doctoral extern working in sport psychology. I love exploring the connection between brain and body in the pursuit of helping athletes find their fullest potential. I received my Bachelors at UCLA in Physiology and Masters at Pepperdine in Psychology. This combination allows me to see the athlete holistically and explore how our brains affect our performance. As a former national team competitor, I bring personal and professional experience to my approach.
I currently explore research in elite athlete retirement stressors in an effort to assist athletes with their transition from sport. I have also explored mindfulness training programs for ADHD athletes, and concussion effects on health related quality of life.
My background in training starts in neuroaffirming practices, where brains are considered unique and we approach individuals from the social model of disability. I have skills in both assessment and therapy for Autistic, ADHD, and Gifted individuals. I have also worked with the ex-incarcerated population, administering comprehensive neuropsychological assessments to help individuals get a fresh start at life through understanding how their brain functions.
My approach is goal oriented and motivational with an integrated aspect that allows us to look into actions from multiple perspectives and layers. I would love to connect with you and see if we are a good fit!
